Make a date in your diary for 30 November 2013 when local celebrity vet Steve Leonard comes to town to switch on the Christmas lights. Nantwich Town Council is expected to plan a variety of events and activities for the day including Malbank Festive Choir, Father Christmas plus ‘Grinch’ and a musical firework finale. http://www.nantwichtowncouncil.gov.uk/

Steve, who has practices in both Wistaston and Whitchurch is a familiar face both locally and on TV with shows such as Vets in Practice and Orangutan Diaries. He recently hosted a sell-out evening in Nantwich on behalf of Cheshire Wildlife Trust where he talked about his travels and the making of wildlife documentaries. Having made many programmes for both ITV and BBC beginning in 1996, his repertoire includes the environment, ecosystems, evolution and ethics so he has a lot to talk about and is happy to cover a range of different topics – he’s passionate about a lot of things. He’s also involved in various charities which he is proud to support.  http://www.steveleonard.co.uk/
