Greenovation Have Taken Domestic and Commercial Air-tightness Testing to the Next Level…
In an industry which hasn’t always received the best publicity, it’s reassuring for our clients that an air pressure testing company like Greenovation has achieved the professional recognition it deserves. The company’s credentials were given a substantial boost recently, thanks to two new building industry accreditations:
- Firstly, Greenovation founder and Director, James Spooner, is now a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB). James achieved this prestigious third party recognition following the stringent examination of his building industry experience and expertise. James is now recognised as a ‘Chartered Builder’ which will give clients additional confidence in his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and professional accountability.
- Secondly, Greenovation’s work as an air pressure testing business is now officially registered under the Independent Air-tightness Testing Scheme (iATS). This replaces Greenovation’s previous registration with the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT).This has enabled the company to extend the scope of its work into both the domestic and commercial sectors. More specifically, it allows Greenovation to test any building up to 4000 cubic metres in size (which complies with L2 requirements under UK Building Regulations).
Greenovation’s Level 1 iATS Accreditation is a measure of the company’s commitment to best professional practice; to keeping abreast of the latest air testing techniques; and its ongoing involvement with Continuous Professional Development (CPD) – and all the customer benefits this brings in maintaining professional standards.
About iATS
The Independent Air-tightness Testing Scheme was set up for companies that carry out Air Pressure Testing (aka Building Permeability Testing). The Scheme provides clients with the reassurance that the air-tightness work undertaken by registered businesses meets the highest levels of quality and integrity.
The iATS scheme was developed in response to the withdrawal of BINDT as the body responsible for registering ‘competent persons’ or companies who can undertake air-tightness testing in the UK. iATS has been authorised to operate as a Competent Persons Scheme (CPS) for air-tightness testing from April 2015.
